The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday acknowledged a glitch in its web site that made India the top-ranked males’s group on the ICC Check rankings.
Following the correction made by the ICC, India was moved again to the second slot within the Check rating, whereas Australia was returned to the #1 slot.
Posting an up to date rating checklist, the ICC stated: “The ICC acknowledges, for a brief time frame on February 15, 2023, that, because of a technical error, India have been erroneously displayed because the No 1 Check group on the ICC web site. We apologise for any inconvenience brought on.”
Australia will head into the second Check in opposition to India in Delhi, beginning on Friday (January 17) because the No 1-ranked group with 126 score factors, 11 above India’s 115.
India received the primary Check in Nagpur by an inning and 132 runs, and are vying for a spot within the ultimate of the ICC World Check Championship 2021-23.
